As noted at British news sites that day, Sweden‘s Zlatan Ibrahimovic made his fourth goal against England using an overhead bicycle kick from around 25 yards, which not made his team won but also amazed a lot of football players, including English captain Steven Gerrard and Sweden coach Erik Hamren.

“Sometimes you have to hold your hands up to a special individual performance. And that was a world-class performance from a world-class player. It was the best goal I have ever seen. The best before that was Wayne Rooney‘s [for Manchester United against Manchester City].” Gerrard was quoted at Guardian.

“Everyone knows how special that one was, but this one tonight, an overhead kick from 25 yards when the ball is six feet in the air … well, only certain players can do that, and he is a special player.” Gerrard added, with Ibrahimovic‘s goal reportedly overshadowing the winning of Gerrard‘s 100th cap.

“It was one of the best individual performances I have ever seen, and his night. But, from our point of view, there were a lot of young lads making their debuts and they did well. We collapsed a little bit near the end but there were plenty of positives.” The 32-year old English footballer said on their loss.

On the other hand, BBC Sports reported that Sweden coach Erik Hamren said that Ibrahimovic‘s fourth goal is like watching a video game. The 31-year old Swedish football player made three consecutive goals with 13 minutes to go, with England then leading, 2-1. He also made a goal in the 20th minute of the game.

“I don’t know if you will see another like it in your life. Sometimes, when he’s doing these things, in training or in matches, you don’t think it’s possible. Because it’s not possible to do that – the fourth goal, for example.” Coach Erik Hamren was quoted at BBC Sports.
