X Factor USA recap: Final 32 contestants revealed

The names of the X Factor USA final 32 contestants were revealed on the show on Thursday, October 6, 2011, with the complete list available below.

As featured on Fox that day, the X Factor USA top 32 contestants were chosen from the 100 acts and are now a step closer to the $5-million dollar recording contract.

For the X Factor recap, the remaining 100 contestants were split into random groups on Wednesday night and each group were allowed to practice a song and performed them in front of the judges.

Later, they were trimmed down to 64 contestants were divided into 8 groups and were given a list of 35 songs. Each group selected a song and performed it in front of 3,000 people, with only 15 hours to practice.

Afterward, the X Factor judges including Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid, and Nicole Scherzinger discussed, debated with each other, and compromised, until they reached to the final 32 contestants.

The 32 finalists were again divided this time into 4 groups, according to gender, age, and groups, with each of them will be mentoring by each of the four judges. Below is the complete list of their names.

The Girls: Caitlin Koch, Tora Woloshin, Simone Battle, Drew Ryniewicz, Rachel Crow, Jazzlyn Little, Melanie Amaro and Tiah Tolliver.

The Boys: Brennin Hunt, Brian Bradley, Skyelor Anderson, Nick Voss, Tim CIfers, Phillip Lomax, Marcus Canty and Chris Rene.

Over 30s: Elaine Gibbs, Tiger Budbill, Leroy Bell, James Kenney, Josh Krajcik, Christa Collins, Dexter Goodman, and Stacey Francis.

Groups: the Stereo Hogzz, 2squared, 4Shore, The Brewer Boys, Illusion Confusion, The Anser and two groups composed out of the soloists who were earlier rejected.

Apparently, it came as a surprise when Simon called back on the rejected contestants under 30 years old and separated them into two groups.

Meanwhile, Simon will go for the girls, L.A. Reid had the boys, the over 30s went to Nicole Scherzinger, while the groups went to Paula Abdul.
