Reports said that Cheryl Cole was the fourth judge, at  first, but after the Los Angeles auditions, Cole was replaced by Nicole for yet unrevealed reasons. Nicole Scherzinger, former lead singer of  “The Pussycat Dolls,” had taken over.

The X Factor winner will get $5 million and a Pepsi commercial, which will be aired on the next Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, the X Factor judges were impressed by Chris Rene, a recovering drug addict, with his own composition entitled “Young Homie,” which is a song about his drug recovery. Nicole Scherzinger said Rene’s performance was ‘indescribable.’

Additional report disclosed, that even Simon said to Chris Rene:

“The fact is, maybe you need the show and maybe we need you,” and “If we put you through, you stay on the right track. That’s the deal we make – no breaking that.”
