“X Factor” finalists perform duets with Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morissette and R. Kelly

Josh Krajcik, Chris Rene and Melanie Amaro, the three “X Factor” finalists, got chances to impress the voters on Wednesday night by performing duets with stars Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morissette and R. Kelly, as announced by several international news sites, December 21, 2011.

According to reports, the “X Factor” performance finale pitted the three finalists against one another for a $5 million recording contract.

Melanie Amaro performed a duet of “I Believe I Can Fly” with R. Kelly. Apparently, the said duet marked Kelly‘s first performance since undergoing throat surgery earlier this year.

Chris Rene, a 28-year-old from Santa Cruz, California, had a duet with Avril Lavigne. The two performed Lavigne‘s hit “Complicated“.

Josh Krajcik, a 30-year-old self-described “burrito slinger” from Columbus, Ohio, performed with Alanis Morissette. The two took on Alanis‘ hit “Uninvited.”

Related reports reveal that the winner will be crowned on Thursday’s two-hour finale. Similarly, the competition is set to feature appearances by Justin Bieber, 50 Cent, Leona Lewis, Pitbull and Ne-Yo.
