William Stokkebroe’s YouTube video, which shows the 2-yr old boy dancing to the tune of Elvis Presley’s Jailhouse Rock, overthrows Ugandan rebel Joseph Kony’s 2012 video.

Kony’s video was tagged as the most viral video of all time, before Stokkebroe’s video was uploaded. This was disclosed by international news sites, March 30, 2012.

Reportedly, the 2-yr old boy’s video earned 8,059,012 hits to date, only 15 days since it has been uploaded last March 15.

Although the Kony 2012 video has 86,340,781 views to date, the Stokkebroe video averaged 943,754 shares daily, compared to the 412,000 daily views of the Kony 2012 video.

The Kony 2012 video about Joseph Kony, an Ugandan warlord, and produced by Invisible Children has become the most viral video for three weeks, until the dancing video of William Stokkebroe was uploaded.

This has been documented also by the Campaign Viral Video Chart as of March 30, 2012. The site ranks clips and ads based on “how many times the videos have been shared on Facebook, Twitter and the blogosphere during the last seven days.” This does not include clips which are more than 30 days.

William is a natural dancer because his parents, Peter and Kristina, are professional dancers winning world titles in the dancing arena. The proud parents renamed one of their popular products as “the William dance shoe” because of the toddler’s popularity.
