White Lion Cubs Born In Belgrade Zoo

There are now a total of six rare white lion cubs that were born in Belgrade Zoo since December, 2010, according to reports by several international news sites.

The newly born cubs are living with their white lion father named Vambo and mother, Kiara.

Two of the six white lion cubs were born last December 9, 2010, while the rest were born on Monday, April 18, 2011.

White lions are usually found in Timbavati area of South Africa. However, these rare species are reportedly fast decreasing in number. A statistics report by the Global White Lion Protection Trust showed that there are about 500 white lions that are being protected worldwide.
