According to the long-form birth certificate, President Obama was born in Hawaii, which means he is eligible to be the president of United States, as some of his critics claimed that he is not.

He was born as Barack Hussein Obama II at 7.24pm on August 4, 1961 at the Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Mr. Obama’s birth certificate was signed by the delivery doctor, the local registrar, and his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham Obama, who was 18 years old that time.

In addition, the document stated that his father is Barack Hussein Obama, an African, and was 25 years old when the young Obama was born.

As noted at the White House’ official website, President Obama believed the distraction over his birth certificate is not good for the country although it may be good politics and good TV.

Apparently, Hawaii State Department of Health granted the request of White House to release the long form copy of Obama’s birth certificate upon the request of a lot of people.

Earlier reports said that potential presidential candidate Donald Trump is questioning why the president did not release this long-form copy of his birth certificate.

“He should have done it a long time ago. I am really honored to play such a big role in hopefully, hopefully getting rid of this issue,” Trump was quoted as saying, when he learned about the release of the long-form copy.

About three years ago, a short-form copy of Obama’s birth certificate was released online, as request from the public during the 2008 presidential campaign.
