A 33-foot female Sei whale was found in a grassy field, 800 yards off the shoreline of East Yorkshire village of Skeffling, United Kingdom, according to reports by several international news sites last october 1, 2011.

The rare Sei whale discovery in the field has already attracted a lot of theory. According to some scientists, may have been stranded over the field after an unusual high tide washed it ashore. The whale is already dead when it was found.

The whale is reportedly the latest of several who have died in the Humber estuary area. The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has raised the awareness of more whale sightings in the area in 2011, however, the increase in the mammals in the North Sea is still a mystery.
