Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) announces their plan to protest at Elizabeth Edwards‘ funeral, as stated on their official website on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, and is now inviting a lot of reaction worldwide.

As published at GodHatesFags.com, WBC highlighted the statement below on their announcement to protest Elizabeth Edwards‘ funeral on Saturday, December 11, 2010.

GOD HATES ELIZABETH EDWARDS! WBC WILL PICKET HER FUNERAL AT EDENTON UMC (228 EDENTON ST., RALEIGH, NC.) SAT., DEC. 11, FROM 11:30 ~ 1:00 PM, TO WIT: FLEE HER EXAMPLE – ITS LATTER END IS DESEASE & DEATH & ORPHANED CHILDREN!

Apparently, the PDF file page which is also a flier, has a title of ‘Elizabeth Edwards in Hell’ also speaks about their belief on how the estranged wife of former Senator John Edwards ‘hated God’.

According to WBC, Elizabeth Edwards admitted doubting her faith when her oldest son died in 1996.

God heard self-absorbed Elizabeth as she rode the talk show circuit spewing blasphemy,” Westboro added on the statement added.

Elizabeth Edwards passed away at the age of 61 due to complications from breast cancer on Tuesday, and is planned to be buried at Oakwood Cemetery alongside her son Wade, who died in a car accident when he was 16 years old.

WBC, a church in Kansas is being led by Rev. Fred Phelps, is being known for making controversial protests in different events, particularly in cases when they believe that it is not ‘according to God’s will’.
