Washington State Election Results 2010 Update: Senator Patty Murray wins over Dino Rossi

Senator Patty Murray wins over Dino Rossi, as the Washington State Election 2010 final result has just been released, according to The Washington Post on Thursday.

According to the report, the incumbent senator will most likely win over Rossi with the comfortable margin of about 46,000 votes.

As of November 4, 7:24pm US time, Democratic Patty Murray has 941, 361 votes (51.27%) against 894, 897 votes (48.73%) for Republican Dino Rossi, according to its SOS official website.

It was reported earlier that Senator Patty Murray is leading very slim over Dino Rossi, with about 14,000 votes lead by the former.

Also according to its SOS official website, the last day for county canvassing boards to certify results for Washington State is on November 23, 2010.

Meanwhile, the last day for the Office of the Secretary of State to certify General Election returns will be on December 2, 2010.

This slow-moving election system of Washington State was said to have been due vote-by-mail election.

Senator Patty Murray was said to be on her 4th term as senator.
