According to US news sites on Thursday, August 25, 2011, Mr. Buffett will be hosting a special event next month dubbed as “Economic Forum Dinner with Warren Buffett” along with President Obama.

As noted by Politico, the fundraiser event will be held on September 30 at the Four Seasons Restaurant in New York and will be moderated by Mr. Obama‘s former economic adviser Austan Goolsbee.

The base price starts at $10,000 per guest and $35,800 VIP ticket for a dinner with Warren Buffett, who will celebrate his 81st birthday this coming Tuesday, August 30 and notably supported Mr. Obama during the 2008 presidential election.

“As all guests are seated for dinner, Buffett will go around to all tables and shake hands, then he and Austan will sit for the program and discussion.” A statement was quoted at New York Post on Thursday.

Early last week, Warren Buffett urged US Congress to raise taxes to high-profile earners like him, noting that he paid only 17.4 percent of his taxable income last year which he claimed to be lower than any of the 20 other people who work in his office.

Meanwhile, a “similar” event is to be held on September 20, dubbed as “Gala Dinner with the President and First Lady” where Alicia Keys is being set to perform for the US First Couple and their guests.
