Utah Plane Crash in Roy Neighborhood

Roy, Utah – A Cessna 210 single-engine plane has crashed in the area of Roy in Utah on Sunday, December 5, 2010, according to international reports. The Utah plane crash in Roy has set off an explosion that triggered the fire on two homes in the area. The Roy plane crash occurred around 6 p.m. at the nearby 2000 West and 4300 South, according to initial reports by Roy Police.

The pilot has suffered severe injuries but is reportedly able to talk when he was brought to a local hospital.

The small plane is on its way to the Ogden-Hinckley Airport when it crashed as it hit power line poles and cluster of trees at nearby 2175 West and 4400 South.

Firefighters have quickly put out the fire.
