UST aims to be on Guinness World Records for the World’s Largest Human Rosary on December 8, 2010

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) will aim to be on Guinness World Records for the world’s largest human rosary on December 8, 2010, according to their official Facebook page.

University of Santo Tomas, according to Philippine history, is the oldest Catholic university in Asia and the largest university in Manila, announced that it will hold the Quadricentennial Living Rosary on its campus in Manila, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the said date.

The Facebook page, with the title UST QRosary, added that the attempt to set a world record is also their way to say a ‘Grand Thank You’ to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, for the 400 years of ‘Maternal Protection’ she has given the University of Santo Tomas.

As mentioned by its creator named Tzard Pazcoguin, all students, faculty and alumni of UST is being encouraged to take part of history, to build what may be the world’s largest human rosary.

The event, which will take place on December 8 which is also the feast of the Immaculate Conception, where more than 20,000 ‘Thomasians’ are being expected to come and join the big event.

As of this writing, 6,701 Facebook users of UST have confirmed to be attending the event, while registration and further information may be understand by visiting their official Facebook page.
