US President Obama Finally Meets US Navy SEALS Team Six, Awards Presidential Unit Citation

US President Obama have finally met the US Navy SEALS Team Six members in Fort Campbell, Kentucky where he, together with Vice President Joe Biden, he personally thanked them for a “job well done.” This was disclosed by various news sites, May 6, 2011.

The meeting with the SEALS Team 6 occurred in private with the Obama learning about the details of the operation in Abbotabad, Pakistan where al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden was killed.

The US president also met the canine which have been part of “one of the greatest military operations” in US history, according to Obama himself.

The SEAL Team 6 was awarded the military unit’s highest honor, the Presidential Unit Citations award.

Speaking before the Army’s 101st Airborne Division and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Obama said:

“Thanks to the incredible skill and courage of countless individuals, intelligence, military over the years, the terrorist leader that struck our nation 9/11 will never threaten Americans again.”
