US President Obama Congratulates Super Bowl Champions, the Green Bay Packers

US President Obama congratulated the Super Bowl Champions, for season 2010, the Green Bay Packers at the White House on Friday, August 12, 2011, as reported by US national news, August 12.

Reportedly President Obama, who is known to be a no. 1 Chicago Bears fan said:

“I’m just going to come out and say it…this hurts a little bit…”

The Green Bay Packers had beaten the Chicago Bears in January 2011 during the NFC championship game, with a score of 21-14.

The Green Bay Packers went on to win the Super Bowl XLV championship from the Pittsburgh Steelers on February 6, 2011, with the score 21-35.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers, was awarded also the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for Season 2010.  

Further reports disclosed that President Mark Murphy of the Green Bay Packers and his team have given President Obama a stock certificate making him a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers public franchise.
