According to CNN, multiple sources from the Democratic Party informed them that President Obama plans to send emails with video or text messages to his supporters on Monday about his plans to seek for another term in 2012.

Apparently, this also mean that Obama’s campaign team is hoping to file documents with the Federal Election Commission also on Monday, which will launch his re-election campaign for 2012.

However, the announcement and filing will still depend on the events outside, wherein the White House will monitor closely the 2011 budget bill and is being expected to be resolved this week.

Nevertheless, this is still one week ahead before President Obama will host his first re-election fund-raising project in Chicago on April 14, which is also slightly earlier than the usual practice of an incumbent president.

CNN also said that two sources told them that $500 million is hoping to be raised in total of their bundlers and another $500 million later hoping to get an accumulated amount of $1 billion for Obama’s re-election campaign.

Reports also say that last week, President Obama and the Democrats have raised about $1.5 million in Harlem, New York for his 2012 election campaign.

Back in the 2008 presidential election, about $750 million was said to have been raised for Mr. Obama’s election campaign.
