The US prepares for the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, as Nickelodeon featured Linda Ellerbee with “What Happened? The story of September 11, 2001,” in its Thursday, September 1 show.

The segment was meant to let kids understand the event, as the10th Anniversary of 9/11 approaches. This was disclosed by US news sites, September 2, 2011.

Linda Ellerbee was lauded for her effort in reaching out to kids who are still not aware of the tragic event when the New York’s Twin Towers were destroyed by two terrorist’s planes.

Meanwhile, the US government is getting ready for the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 by increasing security measures and patrols along vital areas. This is in connection with the Al-Qaida’s new threats as a result of Osama bin Laden’s death in the hands of US navy seals.

According to further reports, while programs like Ellerbee’s assure Americans not to be alarmed, FBI, Department of Homeland Security and other US agencies are not complacent about security on the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 as they explore all possible means to counteract any action from Al-Qaida supporters.
