The Underground Flourescent Lake, a cave in Yishui known as China‘s Underground Grand Canyon, was enlisted in the US stock market through reverse merger, according to reports by several international news sites on Thursday, December 1, 2011. The Chinese cave has become a tourist attraction in Yishui and slowly lures a lot of visitors in the area.

Underground Flourescent Lake cave is located just an hour’s drive outside China‘s city of Linyi in the eastern province of Shandong.

Reports say that the Underground Grand Canyon provides tourists a three kilometer luge ride through a scenery of grand stalactites and multicolored lights. It has rock-shaped ticket booths and brightly lit caverns. Chinese wine were also kept in round earthen jars inside the cave and sold to visitors.

Being enlisted in the US stock market since 2010 has created a stir for the Grand Fluorescent Lake cave. In a statement, Underground Grand Canyon chairman Zhang Shanjiu, explained that “For entrepreneurs, going public gives them a sense of recognition. For employees, going public gives them a sense of achievement.” Zhang‘s company reportedly leased the cave from Linyi officials for nearly 60 years.

The Underground Grand Canyon reportedly attracted over 670,000 tourists in 2010.
