As reported at Central Florida News 13 on Thursday, a British woman named Helen Beard from Nottinghamshire, England became a hero when she saved a two-year old baby girl.

Apparently, Beard was in the pool area of the of the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites in Orlando when she saw the baby dangling from the balcony on Wednesday at around 9 p.m. (Florida time)

Authorities told reports that the 44-year old tourist ran to the supposed landing spot and just in time to catch the baby, who are identified as Jah-Nea.

The baby girl was brought to Arnold Palmer Hospital and was reported to be unhurt and was in good health condition.

Helena Myles, Jah-Nea’s mother, was said to have left her baby to a friend named Dominique Holt who was then staying on the next room of the hotel.

As admitted by Ms. Holt to authorities, she might be in the bathroom when Jah-Nea may have crawled to the door which might be left slightly open.

“I’m thanking the Lord above right now for saving my child’s life. I’m also thanking that lady because she was an angel sent from heaven.” Helena Myles was quoted as saying.
