Charlie is the 14-year-old domestic short-haired white cat that captured the news nearly two weeks ago due to its apparent resemblance to Lord Voldemort, a villain character in Harry Potter movie played by Ralph Fiennes.

Apparently, Charlie’s ears and nose were removed via operation after suffering from skin cancer, which now stays in Blue Cross Animal Welfare Charity in Southampton, Hants.

This deformation then scares off people and no one wanted to bring him home.

Meanwhile, a 45-year old property lawyer named Sarah Gaden who told the report that she was among those touched by Charlie’s heart-breaking story and decided to adopt him.

“I think the Harry Potter films are fantastic and I noticed the resemblance to Voldemort but it didn’t put me off.” Ms. Galen was quoted as saying. She lives alone in Worthing, West Sussex.

“I didn’t think he was ugly – he looked like he had character and he just needed someone to love and care for him.” She added, as being the first one to contact the animal care center and showing interest of having Charlie.
