UFC 133 Main Event Results: Rashad Evans knocks-out Tito Ortiz

Rashad Evans, a top contender in light heavyweight division thwarts the “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz in UFC 133 main event at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center in U.S.A. according to several international reports on Saturday, August 06, 2011 at 11:00pm (ET).

On the first round, the two fighters who were said to have shown an aggressive move to take one another made them to give powerful exchanges. Ortiz successfully dragged Evans to the floor in two minutes left, but, in 60 seconds time, the latter worked back to his feet.

Furthermore, Evans was said to have given flood of punches to Ortiz while doing his best to move out in the cage and he survived.

On the second round, Ortiz reportedly locked Evans in a guillotine choke; however, the latter managed to escape by pulling his head out of the choke and worked into side control. Evans landed more punches to Ortiz’s head.

Evans reportedly hit Ortiz with a knee to the body and gave barrage of punches to the head with only twelve seconds left in second round. Observing the fights in which Ortiz was seemed to be hurt and did not fight back, the referee stopped the game and declared Evans as the winner.

As announced, Evans was said to have earned records of 16-1-1 MMA, 11-1-1 UFC and awaits the winner between Jon Jones and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson for retrieving the light heavyweight belt.
