UFC 130: Mir and Rampage Wins MMA Bouts On Decision

UFC 130 results has Quinton “Rampage” Jackson defeating MattThe HammerHamill in their mixed martial arts (MMA) bout at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 130 main event held Saturday, May 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, according to UFC.com.

Jackson managed to get the win despite suffering an injured hand. The huge punches of “Rampage” clearly hurt and offset the aggressiveness of Hamill. His good defensive stance denied Hamill‘s repeated takedown attempts.

Jackson won the fight as all the judges scored the bout, 30-27, all in his favor.

Rampage” has improved his record, 32-8, while Hamill dropped to 11-3.

Frank Mir also won his heavyweight bout against RoyBig CountryNelson on decision.

The judges scored the bout at 30-27, 30-27 and 30-26 all for Mir.

Mir dominated the match with his aggressiveness right from the start  and was able to hit on Nelson significantly.

Mir has improved his record, 15-5, while Nelson dropped to a 16-6 slate.

  • Travis Browne defeated Stefan Struve – KO the 4:11 mark.
  • Rick Story defeated Thiago Alves – Decision with all judges scoring  29-28
  • Brian Stann defeated Jorge Santiago – Referee stopped the bout at the 4:29 mark.
  • Demetrius Johnson defeated Miguel Torres – Unanimous decision
  • Gleison Tibau defeated Rafaello Oliveira – Submission at the 3:28 mark of the second round.
  • Tim Boetsch defeated Kendall Grove – Decision
  • Michael McDonald defeated Chris Cariaso – Split Decision. Scores were 29-28 twice and 27-30 for McDonald, who improves to 13-1; San Francisco’s Cariaso falls to 11-3.
  • Renan Barao defeated Cole Escovedo – Unanimous decision.
