Four members of UB40, a British reggae band, have been declared bankrupt, international news sites reported on Sunday, October 16, 2011.

According to The Telegraph, UB40 members Brian Travers, Jimmy Brown, Norman Hassan and Terence Oswald were declared bankrupt by a judge at Birmingham County Court last week after an investigation of their failed record label, Dep International.

Reports said that due to the ruling, tax officers will be allowed to seize their property to pay off any of their outstanding debts.

In a remarkable 33-year career, the Birmingham band have sold more than 70 million records and recorded 50 chart hits, reports said.
