UAAP Season 74 Results: Ateneo Gets 8th Straight Win Vs. FEU in OT, 74-67

Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles registered its eight straight win in the second round of the 2011 UAAP Season 74 by beating Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws in overtime, 74-67 at the Araneta Coliseum, according to a report at UAAP Sports website on Saturday, August 13, 2011.

FEU led majority of the game and still got a six point lead with 62 seconds left in the game. However, Ateneo crawled back to force overtime. Regulation ended tied at 63-apiece.

In overtime, the Blue Eagles continued to tighten up on defense against the Tamaraws that translated into good offense. ADMU turned the tables in the extra time as they got their biggest lead over FEU.

Ateneo raised its record to 8-0, while FEU went down with a 4-4 slate.

In the first game, the National University (NU) Bulldogs routed the University of the East (UE) Warriors, 91-51.

Tomorrow’s UAAP Season 74 schedule of games will feature UP vs UST in the first game and Adamson University vs De La Salle University in the second game at the Araneta Coliseum.
