UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2011: UP Pep Squad Retains Cheerdance Crown

The University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad retains cheerdance crown during the 2011 UAAP Samsung Cheerdance Competition  at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Saturday, September 17, 2011.

According to ABS-CBN news reports, UP Pep Squad wowed the crowd with their Madonna– inspired routine featuring members with bleached blonde hair and black outfits. The group took home P340,000.

Meanwhile, the De La Salle University (DLSU) Animo Squad got 2nd place (first runner-up) and pocketed P200,000.

On the other hand, Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering squad’s Indian-inspired theme settled  for 3rd place (second runner-up). They went home with P140,000.

The University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe ended at 4th place (third runner-up), followed by the Adamson University (AdU) Pep Squad at 5th and the National University (NU) Pep Squad at 6th.

The Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion landed 7th, while the University of the East (UE) Pep Squad finished last.

Furthermore,UP Pep Squad bested National University (NU) and Far Eastern University (FEU)  in the Group Stunt event, reports said.
