Typhoon Pedring, based on Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) latest weather bulletin as of 5 a.m. today, September 28, 2011, was spotted at 300 km Northwest of Baguio City.

PAGASA satellite and surface data, as of 4 a.m., indicates that Typhoon Pedring is moving in the West Northwest direction at 19 kph with a maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center with gustiness of up to 150 kph. Typhoon Pedring is expected to be at 500 km Northwest of Baguio City by Wednesday afternoon.

Public warning storm signal number 2 was raised in La Union, Pangasinan and Zambales. These areas will experience winds from 60 to 100 kph. Signal number 1 is still up in Bataan, Pampanga, Benguet, Tarlac, Ilocos Sur, Abra, and Ilocos Norte. Winds from 45 to 60 kph is expected to prevail over these areas.

The PAGASA latest weather forecast showed that Zambales, La Union and Pangasinan will still experience stormy weather brought about by Typhoon Pedring. Monsoon rains may be experience over the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas. Mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.
