According to PAGASA DOST update, as of 5am, October 20, Typhoon Juan (or Megi) was located 360 kilometers West Northwest of Laoag City (17.3°N, 117.0°E), but may finally leave the Philippines this afternoon.

Meanwhile, six areas in Northern Luzon are still under Storm Signal No 1 which includes Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Pangasinan, and Zambales.

This means that there are still no classes for elementary students on these areas, except for Benguet which has been reported to have no classes in high school a few minutes ago.

Nevertheless, the public is still being advised to contact the school or Department of Education (Deped) for confirmation especially for areas that are sill under storm signal.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines have no more storm signal warning, according to PAGASA DOST. There are now classes in all levels in these areas.

Below is the official message of PAGASA DOST Twitter, as of 5am, October 20, 2010.
