Typhoon Goring Update and Latest PAGASA Weather Forecast July 10

Tropical depression Goring is at 400 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes as of 2:00 a.m. today, July 10, 2011, according to the latest public weather forecast issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Adminisration (PAGASA).

The PAGASA report says that Typhoon Goring is moving in the Western direction at 7 kph with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center.

PAGASA weather forecast added that a low pressure area is at 210 km East Northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur. The Southwest monsoon is expected to bring occasional rains over the western section of Luzon. The rest of the country is expected to experience “cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over Western Visayas and Eastern Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.”

Coastal waters over Luzon and Western Visayas will be moderate to rough while the rest of the seaboard will be slightly moderate.
