According to the report, Governor Salceda hit PAGASA for its “slipshod” reporting of the path of the tropical storm Bebeng.

Salceda said that PAGASA did not raise the alert level in Albay earlier. Even though PAGASA knows that the tropical storm will grow stronger, signal number 2 was only raised in Albay late Saturday. Albay has already registered four casualties, and several people were reported missing.

Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Undersecretary Graciano Yumul brushed off Salceda‘s attack as he defends the weather bureau. Usec. Yumul explained that PAGASA has already given a warning signal since 11 pm of May 5 and early Saturday.
