Two new 4G tablets, SpringBoard with Google and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 unveiled by T-Mobile

Two new 4G tablets, the SpringBoard with Google and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, were unveiled by T-Mobile on Monday, October 10, 2011.

As noted T-Mobile on its official website, the SpringBoard and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 became their additional 4G tablets, which will both Google‘s Android Honeycomb operating system.

“Our customers expect the ability to access and share content on the go at 4G speeds, so we’ve created a 4G tablet portfolio of 7-, 9- and 10-inch tablets with their busy, highly mobile lives in mind,” T-Mobile USA VP for mobile broadband and emerging devices Jeremy Korst was quoted on the report.

“The T-Mobile SpringBoard with Google and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 are the perfect evolution of T-Mobile‘s tablet portfolio, and will be providing consumers with the right choice of tablet.” Korst added.

According to T-Mobile, both devices will be available in the coming weeks but the prices were not revealed. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was launched months ago but was never available at T-Mobile.

The 4G-capable Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen display and weighs 1.24 lbs, and was made available in Verizon Wireless last July, with a two-year 4G contract.

On the other hand, the 4G-enabled T-Mobile SpringBoard features a 7-inch HD multi-touch display, equipped with a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and video recorder with 720p for HD video capture.

This Android 4G tablet, which was manufactured by Huawei, also has a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, an SD card slot 32GB of expandable memory, and being powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor.
