As noted in a report in the official site of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Thursday, March 7, the Bumble Bee recall now affects products that were distributed for retail sale across the US from January 17, 2013 to March 6, 2013. The earlier recall only covers up to products distributed until February 28 only.

According to Bumble Bee, the company has not received illness reports related to the problem, just like the earlier tuna recall. But still, customers who have bought them are again being advised not to consume them and to dispose them instead.

Last Wednesday, March 6, Bumble Bee recalled four products of Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna and three products of Bumble Bee Chunk White Albacore in the 5-ounce can package. The company now said that the affected production line has been identified and eventually corrected.

“Due to can integrity concerns, our top priority at this time is to remove these recalled products from distribution as soon as possible. We are working closely with our sales team and with retailers to help expedite the recall.” Steve Mavity, Bumble Bee Foods SVP of Technical Services and Corporate Quality Assurance, was quoted in the report.

Below is the latest complete list of products affected by this Bumble Bee tuna recall, along with their respective product description, UPC (Unit Product Codes), and Best By dates.
