Tuguegarao hotel fire 15 victims names released

Cagayan, Philippines – The names of 15 victims who were found dead from the fire that broke at Sunshine Bed and Breakfast hotel in Tuguegarao has been released, as published on local news sites on Sunday afternoon.

It was reported earlier that nine people was missing but could reach to fifteen, while the fire happened before dawn Sunday, about 1 am, when almost everybody is sleeping.

Meanwhile, Police Regional Police 2 and public information officer Police Superintendent Danilo Acosta told the news that nine out of the fifteen casualties of the fire were nursing students, in which the list of names can be found below.

1. Jerome Saet
2. Francis Caranas
3. Nelman Galapia
4. Marlon Justine Viernes
5. Ryan James Malaki
6. Richard Allan Gonzales
7. Roswaldo Respicio
8. Narl Gensan Lopez
9. Henderson Welle Lodevico

On the other hand, the remaining five fatalities include children and grandchildren of the owner of the building, and last one was believed to be the caretaker of the hotel. They were identified as follows:

10. Norman Fondevilla
11. Amibel Fondevilla
12. Mildred Fondevilla
13. Karyll de Leon
14. Josh de Leon
15. Jenny (house help)

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) told the news that the fire could have started from a motorcycle shop at the ground floor of the 5-storey hotel, and lasted for about 4 hours.

The building owners were identified as Pete and Annacid Fontanill, who were brought to the hospital after suffering from sustained burns.
