Tropical Depression Egay Update and PAGASA Weather Forecast as of June 20

Tropical Depression Egay is now at 160 km Northwest of Aparri, Cagayan or 130 km Southwest of Basco, Batanes, according to the latest Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecast issued at 5:00 a.m. today, June 20, 2011.

Based on the PAGASA report, Tropical Depression Egay is moving West Northwest at 20 kph with maximum winds of 55 kph near the center.

PAGASA added that the extreme part of Northern Luzon will experience rains with gusty winds and seas will be moderate to rough. The Western Luzon area will be cloudy and will experience scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms.

It will be a cloudy day with moderate to strong Southwest winds for the rest of the country with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country’s seas will be moderate to rough.

The next weather forecast update of PAGASA will be issued at 5:00 p.m. today.
