Tropical Depression Egay: PAGASA Weather Forecast Says In Eastern Cagayan

Tropical depressionEGAY“, as of 4:00 p.m. today, June 19, 2011, was estimated at 140 km East of Aparri, Cagayan with maximum winds of 55 kph near the center according to a Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecast issued at 5:00 p.m. today.

PAGASA said that tropical depression “Egay” will move in the Northwest direction at 19 kph in the area of Cagayan.

The western seaboard of Luzon, Visayas and eastern Luzon will experience rough to very rough waters.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are discouraged to go out into the sea and larger vessels are being warned against big waves.

On Monday morning, tropical depression “Egay” is expected to be 130 km northwest of Aparri, Cagayan or 120 km north of Laoag City.

By Tuesday morning it is expected to be 410 km northwest of Basco, Batanes or at 240 km west of Southern Taiwan.

The next weather bulletin will be issued by PAGASA at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011.
