The final day of Transformer 3 movie shooting on Thursday in Chicago was canceled, after an extra was badly injured in an accident last Wednesday.

The Transformer 3 movie was filming on a closed portion of Cline Avenue in Hammond, at around 7 p.m. when a movie extra who has been identified as Gabriela V. Cedillo, 24, of Chicago, who is also a bank teller, met an accident.

A witness saw a cable snapped, whipping through her windshield of the Toyota driven by Cedillo; and hitting her in the head.

The car allegedly continued moving for about a mile, repeatedly crashing into a concrete barrier as it rolled.

The witness said safety was stressed as recently as 10 minutes before the accident, with Director Michael Bay himself giving a speech about it.

Cedillo was said to be airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood with ‘serious head injuries’, but is reportedly recovering now from a brain surgery.

On the other hand, representatives of Paramount (who is producing the film) say this isn’t the case.

The report said the injured extra was not involved in the stunt, and the car of Cedillo was not involved in the stunt.

Meanwhile, people are being encouraged to pray for the fast recovery of Gabriela Cedillo.

Everyone is also invited to support her at Cedillo’s Facebook fan page.
