Top 10 Music Earners of 2010 list by Pollstar is led by Jon Bon Jovi

Music trade publication Pollstar has released on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, the list of top 10 music earners in 2010. According to its website, Pollstar is the only trade publication covering the worldwide concert industry.

Leading the list of 2010 Top Music Earners is Rock band Bon Jovi‘s The Circle show which garnered the highest-earning tour of 2010. The tour earned a total of $201.1m (£130.7m) in just 80 shows worldwide. Second in the list is Australian rock band AC/DC who earned a total of $177m (£115m) in 40 shows. AC/DC has been in second place for two consecutive years now. British band U2, came in at third place, with ticket sales amounting to $160.9m (£104.6m) in only 32 shows. U2 is 2009’s top earner.

  4. Lady Gaga earned $133.6 million (£86.8 million) out of 138 shows
  5. Metallica
  6. Michael Buble earned $104.2 million (£67.7 million)
  7. Walking with Dinosaurs took $104.1 million (£67.7 million)
  8. Paul McCartney with tour earnings of $93 million (£60 million)
  9. Eagles earned from ticket sales amounting to $92.3 million (£59.9 million)
  10. Roger Waters (former frontman of Pink Floyd) earned $89.5 million (£58.1 million).
