Tokyo Disneyland May Be Closed For 10 Days For Safety Checks Due To Earthquake That Hit Japan

Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will be closed that would probably last for 10 days due to Friday’s strong earthquake in Japan, Kyodo News, Japan‘s leading news network reported.

Oriental Land Co. which runs the Tokyo Disney Resort issued a statement on Friday after the two parks was also affected by the strong earthquake. The management of country’s popular amusement park will double check the safety of their facilities. There were reports that cracks and minor damage appeared in the resort’s parking area, but there were no injuries being reported.

Meanwhile, it was said that “organizers of a number of concerts, kabuki plays, exhibitions, musicals and other events across the nation have announced cancellations of their shows.”

Tokyo Disneyland was closed on Saturday to assess the damage at the two parks that caused by the quake and still unclear when the resort will open.
