Toddler allegedly thrown by grandma from Tysons Corner Center mall walkway dies

A toddler was allegedly been thrown by her grandma from Tysons Corner Center mall walkway in Fairfax County eventually died in the hospital, according to Washington Post on Tuesday.

The incident which was reported to the police happened on Monday, and the grandmother who was said to be the suspect was arrested, after she apparently threw her granddaughter due to ‘still unknown reason’.

Angelyn Ogdoc, a 2-1/2 year old girl was said to be with her family were walking at the walkway of Tysons Corner Center, when her grandma allegedly picked her up and threw her over the safety rail which is about the above-waistline of an adult with an average height.

The toddler dropped on the ground at about 50 feet high from the mall outdoor walkway which is on the 5th floor connecting the mall and its parking space.

Meanwhile, Angelyn’s grandmother whose name was Carmela Dela Rosa, 50 years old, was initially charged with malicious wounding but may later be elevated to murder, according to the Fairfax County police.

The news also said that the victim who lives at 1800 block of Griffith Road in Falls Church, eventually died at the Inova Fairfax Hospital at around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
