The 29-year-old Maze narrowly won over second-placer Kathrin Zettel of Austria. The two-time World Cup winner had a two-run time of 1 minute, 59.39 seconds on Saturday to escape with less than a second victory over Zettel. Viktoria Rebensburg of Germany settled for third place.

Four-time overall champion Lindsey Vonn ended up in 21st place. Vonn‘s performance was reportedly affected by an intestinal problem caused by a stomach bug.

Last month, Maze also won against Zettel in the season-opening GS race in Austria.
