As listed at Time.com that day, Jeremy Lin was voted as the 2012 World’s Most Influential Person, after leading the New York Knicks to seven straight wins, but is now to miss the rest of the NBA season after announcing last March 31 that he is suffering from a knee injury.

Apparently, the 2012 100 Most Influential People in the World list includes 38 women including artists Adele, Rihanna, and Beyonce, with 54 personalities not coming from the US, which was said to be the very time ever in its history.

Apparently, the list also included Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, a documentary filmmaker from Pakistan, who won an Emmy award for her documentary ‘Pakistan: Children of the Taliban’ in 2010, as well as an Oscar award for her documentary film, ‘Saving Face’ last February.

In addition to US President Barack Obama, Warren Buffett, and Tim Tebow, Hollywood actress Viola Davis landed on the third spot on the said list after she won a lot of acting awards and was nominated in the recent Oscars and Golden Globe awards for her role in the 2011 film “The Help”.

Meanwhile, among the other international names included on the Time 100 list are Pippa Middleton, sister of Prince William‘s wife Kate Middleton, Salman Khan of the Khan Academy, Iran‘s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Manal Al Sharif, a Saudi protester against the country’s ban on woman drivers.
