Missionary Work

Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos was born in the Philippines on August 14, 1987. His parents served as Christian missionaries in the country. Since moving back to the States, Tebow participated in football teams in school and had played well. Later on, he was recognized as Florida’s Player of the Year and was included among the Florida’s Top 33 high school football players.

He played for the Gator team which helped give the Gators their win against Ohio in 2007. He won several awards in football including the Davey O’Brien Award for being the best quarterback for 2007.

What is interesting to know is that he spent his summer vacations in the Philippines helping in the missionary work in his father’s orphanage.  He assisted in medical missions and helped the underprivileged youth find God in their hearts.

Tim Tebow also traveled to other third world countries like Croatia. to do missionary work. He said his work as a missionary is “more important” than football and that he should take advantage of his status as a member of the Denver Broncos to help other people.
