Tim Duncan suffered an injury during the San Antonio Spurs‘ game against the Washington Wizards at the AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas on Saturday night, February 2, 2013.
After attempting to block a shot, Martell Webster of Washington fell and rolled over Duncan‘s ankle. The San Antonio superstar was helped from the floor and left the game. NBA.com reports that Duncan suffered a right ankle sprain and left knee sprain.
As of posting, no official statement has been released by Spurs team officials pertaining to the severity of Duncan‘s injury.
Even with Duncan‘s absence, the Spurs won over the Wizards, 96-86, for their 18th home-game winning streak.
Tony Parker took over the scoring for San Antonio with 19 points and dished off 12 assists. Washington‘s John Wall led all scorers with 21 points.
