As shown live on ABS-CBN Channel 2 on Sunday night, Mark Mabasa was eliminated from the show and Takeoff landed on the Bottom 2 with him, as announced by show host KC Concepcion. The show was held at the Pagcor Grand Theater in Paranaque City, where the names of the X Factor Philippines Top 10 finalists were revealed.

For the ‘Final Showdown’ in their hopes to be saved by the judges, Mark Mabasa was the first one to perform and sang James Ingram‘s “There’s No Easy Way”, and was followed by Takeoff performing “Fall For You” by Secondhand Serenade.

For the judges’ votes, both Ms. Pilita Corrales and Martin Nievera voted Takeoff to be sent home, while Gary Valenciano and Charice Pempengco voted for Mark Mabasa; and therefore ended up in a deadlock. Later, it was announced that Mabasa was the eliminated contestant based on the results of the fan votes.

Yesterday, Saturday, the Top 11 finalists performed live, with Modesto Taran, 55, the oldest contestant, receiving a standing ovation from the show judges. He sang Wency Cornejo‘s hit song “Habang May Buhay” and had a gospel choir as his back up singers, with Martin Nievera in tears and praised his performance.

For crowd favorite KZ Tandingan, whom Ms. Pilita Corrales said last week that she thinks the song she chose to sing last week is not right for her, she received praises from the judges this time after she sang “For Once in My Life.” Ms. Corrales even apologized to her and her mentor Charice.

Below is the list of the names of The X Factor Philippines Top 10 finalists, with no particular order. They will continue in the competition in another live performance next week.
