As featured at ABS-CBN Channel 2 this Sunday night, where The X Factor Philippines was broadcast live, host KC Concepcion announced that AKA Jam had the lowest fan votes, while the group Daddy’s Home landed in the Bottom 2. Both finalists have the same judge-mentor, Gary Valenciano.

AKA Jam, previously known as the Lucky Girls, is composed of six girls namely Auriette Divina, Kat Vearde, Ashley Campbell, Jhelsea Flores, Alyssa Quijano, and Monique Lualhati, were chosen from the previously solo contestants; with the show has only 9 finalists left.

Yesterday, Saturday, The X Factor Philippines Top 10 finalists competed with each other via the “rock” theme. KZ Tandingan was praised by the crowd and received good comments from the four judges after singing her own version of Linkin Park‘s “In The End.”

On the early part of the show this Sunday, Jovit Baldomino and Yeng Constantino performed with The X Factor Philippines Top 10 finalists, singing some timeless songs dedicated to Ms. Pilita Corrales, who turns 72 this coming Wednesday, August 22.

Later, the group Takeoff, which landed on the Bottom 2 last week, and sang Sugarfree‘s “Makita Kang Muli,” was the first finalist to be announced as safe, followed by KZ Tandingan, Modesto Taran, Jeric Medina, Gabriel Maturan, Joan Da, Kedebon Colim, and Allen Jane Sta. Maria.

After the showdown performance of Daddy’s Home and AKA Jam, both Charice Pempengco and Martin Nievera voted for Daddy’s Home to be sent home, while, Gary Valenciano and Ms. Pilita voted for AKA Jam; which means a “deadlock” and fan votes became the deciding factor.
