The Hunger Games” broke box office records for non-sequel movies at its after midnight screening earning more than $19 million. This was revealed by entertainment news, March 23, 2012.

The movie was an adaptation of a futuristic novel written by Suzanne Collins.

The Hunger Games” stars Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Liam Hemsworth.

It is directed by Gary Ross, who also wrote the screenplay of this action drama, science fiction movie about the future world.

Reportedly, “The Hunger Games film partnered with charitable institutions to fight against world hunger.

The charitable institutions are The World Food Programme (WFP) and Feeding America.

Movie reviews of critics noticed the talented performance of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, and the whole cast.

Movie critics also praised how director and screenplay writer Gary Ross turned the movie into a perfect adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ book, “The Hunger Games”.
