The Happy Meal Project: McDonalds Happy Meal did not decay after 6 months?

Yesterday, Daily Mail posted about a so-called ‘Happy Meal No Decay after 6 Months” project made by a Manhattan artist named Sally Davies.

According to the post, the burger, bun, and fries from a McDonald’s Happy Meal did not decay even after six months have passed, and even seem to look as fresh as the day it was bought.

Davies mentioned in that post that she bought a McDonald’s Happy Meal on April 10 this year, and took pictures as the days went by until Day 171, September 28, 2010.

She also said she made the experiment as she called as The Happy Meal Project to know ‘how it will decompose.

“I chose McDonald‘s because it was nearest to my house, but the project could have been about any other of the myriad of fast food joints in New York”. Davies said, as mentioned in the post.

The days became weeks, and the weeks became months, but the Happy Meal did not show any sign of decomposition, according to Davies.

‘It was then that I realized that something strange might be going on with this food that I had bought,’ she explained.

This Happy Meal Project by Sally Davies was also featured in Good Morning America, a daily morning news show in the US, ABC News said.
