As aired on ABC on Monday night, Sean Lowe offered Catherine Guidici a Neil Lane diamond engagement ring in the latter part of the rose ceremony held in Chiang Rai, Thailand, while asking her to marry him. And yes, he chose Guidici over Yenter as The Bachelor 2013 winner.
“I have to say goodbye to you, and it’s by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do because I know how incredible you are and I love you. That’s the hardest part I love you, you know I do. I’m sorry.” Sean told Lindsay, who was surprised and speechless at first. She admitted that she did not see it coming.
“I’m happy for you, I’m happy that you found love, but I honestly can’t image my life without you and that’s something I’m going to have to figure out.” Lindsay Yenter replied, as she looked stunned after hearing Sean breaking up with her. Yenter, 24, is a substitute teacher from Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
“I think the world of you and I miss you every time we have to say goodbye. I don’t want to say goodbye anymore. Catherine, I want to spend the rest of my life telling you, ‘I love you,’ and making you feel like the most special, beautiful woman in the world.” Lowe later told Guidici, 26, a graphic designer from Seattle.
“Catherine, will you marry me?” Sean asked Catherine, whose hands were shaking as Sean knelt in one knee and presented her the 3-carat engagement ring. “Yes! Oh my God! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, is this for real?” Catherine replied with excitement, and the couple was later seen riding an elephant in the sunset.
Sean and Catherine told Bachelor host Chris Harrison that their wedding will be covered by ABC, but did not say when. Later, Harrison announced that Desiree Hartsock, who was earlier rejected by Sean, will be the next Bachelorette, which will start on May 20, 2013, also at ABC.
