Two powerful tornadoes were announced by the National Weather Service (NWS) that ripped across northern Texas on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.

Reports said that one of the tornadoes touched down in a parking lot full of tractor-trailers that move shipping-container-sized cargos. Video images of one of the powerful tornadoes that touched down the Dallas and Forth Worth Metropolitan area on Tuesday showed several large vehicles twisting and flying dozens of feet up into the air like toys.

The massive tornadoes caused major damage through the north Texas area. According to reports, more than 48,000 people experienced power failure in the metro area. Dallas authorities warned the residents to stay away from tangling and cut power cables.

Meanwhile, over 400 flight departures at Dallas Forth Worh Airport were cancelled and 40 flights headed for Dallas were diverted during the rampage of the tornadoes, reports said.

Despite the powerful storm, there are no major injuries or death being reported.

“At this point, there are no major injuries reported,” Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck was quoted saying in a report.
