As aired at CBS on Wednesday night, Taylor Swift and LL Cool J hosted the first of its kind show dubbed as “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night,” at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, where the nominees for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards were announced.
On the first part of the show, Taylor and LL came on stage as Swift‘s hit song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” was being played, and the audience gave them a very warm applause. The 22-year old country singer said she is excited to see people visiting Nashville, where she stays since she was 14.
“This is going to be terrible, I am only doing this for you.” Taylor Swift told LL Cool J, who teased her to show him again her beatbox skills, and that he will sing a few lines from her song ‘Mean,’ saying, “I can’t sing, so we’re even.” The six-time Grammy Award singer then started her beatbox with an “Uh.”
As Taylor is doing the beatboxing with some hand motions ala-rapper style and shouts “Nashville,” LL sang her a few lines of ‘Mean.’ With the crowd screaming from start to end, LL can be smiling but Taylor looked awkward afterwards, saying, “I’m one hundred percent sure we we’re not gonna be nominated for that collaboration.”
