As noted at entertainment news sites on Tuesday night, Taylor Swift and Zac Efron appeared on Ellen’s show to promote their 3D animated film “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax“, to be shown on March 2, 2012, and performed an impromptu duet.

Apparently, Swift, 22, and Efron , 24, talked about what they did for Valentine’s Day and later picked up their guitars and performed “Pumped Up Kicks” in front of the TV host and her audience.

Nevertheless, the “Mean” singer also denied rumors that she is currently dating the former High School Musical star, after they were reportedly seen last month sharing a meal together.

“We are not a couple. He’s awesome, we are not a couple though. You hear people get together when they’re shooting movies, co-stars.” Taylor Swift was quoted telling to Ellen, who later gave them a T-shirt each as gifts.

“But not like animated co-stars. You know what I’m saying. Oh my god, as we were recording out voiceovers on separate coasts we really connected.” Swift added, noting that she gave Efron one guitar-playing lesson.

Nevertheless, before the show, Swift and Efron made a hilarious video where they pranked other stars by dancing behind them to the tune of “I Am Sexy And I Know It”, including Selena Gomez, Akon, and Betty White, who also stars in The Lorax film, as Grammy Norma, the grandmother of Ted, Zac‘s character.
